At Local Legends Designs, we love taking on creative challenges, and our recent project for Mountain State Waste was no exception! When they approached us to design, print, and paint a unique centerpiece for their Chamber of Commerce event, we knew we had to think outside the box—or, in this case, outside the dumpster!
The Idea Behind the Dumpster Centerpiece
Mountain State Waste wanted a centerpiece that would stand out, but also reflect their core mission: waste management and sustainability. After brainstorming, we came up with the perfect solution—a custom-designed miniature dumpster that not only showcased their brand but was also a nod to their environmental stewardship.
Designing the Dumpster
The first step was conceptualizing the look. We aimed to create a piece that was both playful and professional, reflecting Mountain State Waste’s dedication to keeping communities clean. Our design team started by sketching out the model—a detailed replica of a dumpster, but with a creative twist. We decided to give it a sleek, polished look with their logo to catch attention, while maintaining the recognizable shape and structure of a real dumpster.
Bringing it to Life with Paint
After finalizing the design, we moved on to the printing stage. Using state-of-the-art printing technology, we created the perfect-sized dumpster for the centerpiece. Once the model was printed, our team of talented artists took over, painting the centerpiece by hand. We chose shades of orange and tan, representing Mountain State Waste’s eco-friendly initiatives. We also added their logo and brand colors to the design, ensuring the centerpiece reflected their identity at a glance.
A Conversation Starter at the Event
The finished piece was nothing short of a showstopper! Positioned at the center of the tables, the miniature dumpster centerpiece sparked conversations and brought a smile to everyone’s face. It was the perfect representation of Mountain State Waste’s dedication to the community and the environment—showing that sustainability can be both functional and fun.
